NEW YORK LAW JOURNAL: Historic Verdict Against Port Authority in '93 WTC Bombing
As reported in the New York Law Journal Oct. 27, '05:
"A jury yesterday found the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey 'negligent in not maintaining the World Trade Center parking garage in a reasonably safe condition' and found that negligence to be a 'substantial factor' in the 1993 bombing. The six-member jury ruled unanimously on three of four counts, apportioning 68 percent of the liability to the Port Authority and 32 percent to the bombers. [As the jury read the verdict,] lead plaintiff's attorney, David J. Dean of Sullivan Papain Block McGrath & Cannavo... sat expressionless with his hands clasped beneath his chin until they announced apportionment. Blair Fensterstock of Fensterstock & Partners, who has coordinated the plaintiffs' lawsuits, put his hand on the Mr. Dean's shoulder, and Mr. Dean turned away from the jury and smiled ..."
