13 Killed in New York City Tour Bus Accident
As reported by the Associated Press and the New York Post, a tour bus carrying approximately 33 passengers was involved in an accident resulting in the wrongful death of at least 13 of its passengers. Six other passengers suffered critical personal injuries and four more were transported to hospitals.
The tour bus, owned by Worldwide Tour, was returning from the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut and was traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 95 at Exit 14 for the Hutchinson Parkway when it skidded on its side into a sign pole. The signpost sheared off the top of the bus along the window line, nearly two-thirds the length of the vehicle.
