Dr. Paduch Sexual Abuse Lawsuit

New York urologist Dr. Darius Paduch was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that he sexually abused multiple patients at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City between 2005 and 2018 and then at Northwell Health from 2019 until he was arrested in April 2023.

Many of Paduch's victims have filed civil lawsuits against the two hospitals claiming they knew or should have known about the abuse and continued to allow the doctor to see patients unattended. Prior patients say he had them masturbate in front of him, forced them to watch pornography, and touched them inappropriately. Many of his patients were minors at the time of the abuse.

If you were a patient of Dr. Paduch between the early 2000s and April 2023, you may be eligible to receive compensation. Dr. Darius Paduch, who specialized in male infertility and sexual dysfunction, abused patients of all ages under the guise of “medical treatment” or “educational instruction.” Dr. Paduch often carried out the abuse while alone with patients in the examination room.

Due to prior reports, there is reason to believe that both institutions Dr. Paduch worked at were aware he was a risk to patients. However, no protective action was taken. If you or someone you know was a patient of Dr. Paduch between the years of 2005 and April 2023, contact Sullivan Papain today for a free confidential evaluation.

In New York, a doctor’s employer may be held accountable if its employee commits crimes that harm patients, and the employer either knew or should have known about the danger posed by the employee doctor. Prior reports of Dr. Paduch's conduct went unaddressed, so it is believed that both hospitals were well aware of the danger he posed to patients.
