Sullivan Papain Settles Case for $2.8 Million for Injured Infant
A 9-month-old baby with a history of congenital heart abnormalities, was brought to the Emergency Department with a fever, lack of appetite and signs of severe dehydration. The infant was not properly treated over a period of five hours resulting in a cardiac arrest due to cardiovascular compromise from severe dehydration. The infant sustained brain damage, resulting in lifelong consequences including right sided partial paralysis.
