Man Tears Rotator Cuff and Fractures Shoulder at Job Site
In 2018, the plaintiff was working at a construction site to rebuild a residential home. While exiting the project, he tripped and fell over a wooden pallet submerged in a pool of water in front of the house. This resulted in a complete rotator cuff tear/rupture of the left shoulder and a fracture dislocation on the right with massive rotator cuff tears. His many injuries required surgery.
Member Deanne Caputo Secures $725,000 Settlement for Plaintiff’s Injuries
SPBMCC Member Deanne Caputo represented the plaintiff in this case and argued that the defendant was negligent and failed to maintain and inspect the property before inviting others onto it to work. The case was settled in Nassau County Supreme Court for $725,000 to cover the plaintiff’s damages for the injury and future care required.
