On July 19, 2023, Sullivan Papain Member Vito Cannavo successfully obtained a $10 million settlement on behalf of a man who suffered permanent bilateral knee injuries following a construction accident.

56-Year-Old Man Injured on Jobsite

In April 2018, a 56-year-old stone mason was injured when a large piece of granite fell during the construction of a luxury residential building in Tribeca.

Injury Causes Permanent Disability

The accident occurred during the installation of a stone façade on the building. A large stone was being raised by a mechanical hoist when the stone fell, causing significant injuries to both legs. The accident required multiple surgeries on both knees and resulted in permanently disabling injuries.
