In March 2021, a 67-year-old New York woman was driving on the Long Island Expressway when she was struck by a man driving his company’s car. The man hit the woman’s vehicle three separate times. This resulted in substantial injuries, including traumatic brain injury, cognitive changes, concussion, persistent post-concussion syndrome, short-term memory loss, severe headaches, occipital neuralgia, anhedonia dysregulation, severe anxiety, cervical radiculopathy, annular tear of the cervical spine, disc space narrowing at multiple levels throughout the cervical spine, thecal sac deformity and moderate left C8 root compression, T1-2 posterior bulge impinging on the thecal sac.
The case was venued in Kings County Court and settled at mediation during discovery for $725,000.
