Mr. Papain played a major role in negotiating a $700 million settlement for 9/11 World Trade Center first responders who brought suit against the City of New York and its contractors for failing to provide proper respiratory equipment during rescue and recovery efforts.
Robert G. Sullivan is the firm’s senior member, is a pioneer in personal injury law and in litigation on behalf of firefighters. He represented the widows and children of six firefighters killed in a Waldbaum’s supermarket fire in Brooklyn. And has won millions on behalf of injured New Yorkers since joining the firm in 1972.
Vito Cannavo is a member of the firm who has won a string of multi-million dollar verdicts for clients in medical malpractice, premises liability, motor vehicle and firefighter-related litigation, including a historic $183 Million verdict against the City of New York arising out of the tragic Bronx “Black Sunday Fire.”
